The Papyrus was born in Florence as an ancient artisan workshop for the production of hand-decorated paper according to the methods and techniques of the 17th century tradition, such as paper marbling and xylography. The excellence production of The Papyrus offers a wide range of excellent products entirely covered in marbled paper: bookbinding items (diaries, notebooks, directories, photo albums); desk accessories (pencil holders, letter racks, memo holders, photo frames and boxes of various shapes and sizes) and marbled paper sheets, letter papers, cards, place cards, ex libris, not to mention classic leather objects

The Papyrus represents the excellence of Florentine artistic craftsmanship in paper decoration and book binding. For some time, The Papyrus has opened its workshop to the public. During the visit, you will attend a lesson on the origin and history of marbled paper and the various book binding techniques, and you will be able to observe up close the products made by skilled artisans
